Obviedo is a comprehensive mobile application designed to streamline both event discovery/management and flight bookings. The app serves as a dual-platform for users looking to plan their travel and social engagements seamlessly in one place.

The client required an update to their existing application to enhance user engagement and expand functionality. The goal was to introduce new features that would make event planning and flight booking more intuitive, integrated, and feature-rich, thereby increasing user retention and overall app usability.

Our Approach

Our team conducted a thorough analysis of the existing app to identify areas for improvement. We then planned and executed a feature update that included:

  • Implementing a more sophisticated event recommendation engine.

  • Adding social features allowing users to create and share event groups.

  • Enhancing the flight booking module with filters for airlines, layover durations, and fare comparisons.

  • Improving the UI/UX for a more cohesive and modern user journey between the event and travel sections.

The Results

The updated Obviedo app saw a significant increase in user session duration and a 25% rise in completed bookings. The new social and recommendation features fostered a more engaged community, turning the app from a simple utility into a comprehensive travel and lifestyle partner.
